Mid-level investment banker Vincent Duong (26) is today facing an identity crisis.
Despite earning a $150,000 per year salary on paper, when divided by the average of 200 hours he works per week, Vincent’s hourly wage comes to a paltry $15.
“What the fuck?” said Duong as he scanned his colour-coded pivot table.
“That’s less than my cousin David who does morning shift at maccas”
The hyper-active LinkedIn user, who wears a MJ Bale suit and Happy Socks 6 out 7 days of the week, recently did the math after listening to a podcast by Tim Ferris.
“I never thought about my relative income but now I’m relatively pissed off”
Although the financial analyst was denied a request for overtime compensation by payroll, the financial analyst is now looking at other means to get his money back.
“Perhaps I’ll start expensing the 8-ball I got for the xmas party”.
“And fuck no, I won’t be cutting my expenses to increase my relative income, I’m not some Big 4 peasant.”
