Girl Says She Is Already Used To Social Distancing Cos She Just Came Back From Japan

Although a relatively new concept for most people, Davina Ong, is already used to social distancing.

That’s because Davina has already been to Japan

She reminded her friends of this once COVID-19 fears had forced Davina to quarantine upon her return.

She reminded friends once again, when many of them began Working From Home this week.

“It’s a pretty simple concept. You just need to avoid contact with people. It’s called social distancing. They basically do it in Japan, regardless of the health situation”

“It’s a distant society, but once you’re there you just adapt and keep to yourself”

And for those who haven’t been to Japan? They’ll take a bit longer to get used to it.

“You’d like get it, if you’d been to any of the 5 islands. But you haven’t so you won’t”

“There’s actually $700 return tickets to Tokyo now if you’d like to see for yourself”

Social distancing is a tool public health officials recommend to slow the spread of a disease that is being passed from person to person. It also helps ‘flatten the curve’ or limit the amount of cases so that the health care system can actually handle them. When we asked if Davina had heard of flattening the curve, she said she didn’t need to as she had already been to Japan.
