After failing his first attempt to ferment his own kimchi, Sean Jeong (Korean, 27) has put his new-found hobby on pause for the time being.
Being unemployed and stuck at home has given Sean time to explore his passions and ambitions.
“You know what? I really love Kimchi!” He proclaims after a few seconds of thought.
“I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier.”
Envisioning his product on Woolworths shelves and himself on the Joe Rogan Experience, Sean jumps on to Google to find a basic recipe.
“Okay what do I need? Napa cabbage, radish, garlic, ginger, Chinese onion, easy peasy.”
After brining the cabbage Sean has gathered some momentum and has reclaimed some of his boyhood energy. However, Sean soon hits his first obstacle and fucks up the sauce.
Left with some wet cabbage and a red mess that was once his sauce, Sean thinks twice about his newfound hobby and aspirations. Sean quickly throws away his attempt and removes any evidence of his failure before his house mates roast him.
“Guess I’ll check out Tiger King” he says slumping on to the couch.
